How’s my body?

Well…

My left groin / side of hip / left thigh / left glute / left small of back is weirdly sore
Right side okay
This could be quite pesky

On a more positive note
Did 16,000 steps today 🤗

Week1 run3 & week2 run1 of c25k

Yesterday I did week1 run3 and then went straight into week2 run1
Was absolutely fine
Did some stretches when I got back to mums
Felt rather good about the whole thing

Today, did an hours Hurtbox on the stationary bike while chatting to Suzanne Sue and Jenny

My left glute was sore, hard to get comfy so I did some more stretches
Groin still sore but that's probably due to the run yesterday. Love that I'm finally experiencing DOMs 🤣

And my first cycle to work

What I'm loving about my Sunday morning and Monday evening ride - it's that  I'm getting back to doing a lot of the stuff I love doing and it's wonderful 🤗

And then I got this Strava memory from the 16/4/23. I've still got a long to go 😬

Cycled home from work

Made it home this time
Loved it
Groin is sore, wonder if it is just that I'm doing more.

Hopefully will get a bit more physio
Have booked a massage for when in Ashtead next week
Slowly carefully gently getting back to doing the stuff I love

Last physio session

Physio reckons 90% healed
Have had my x5 physio sessions via the drivers insurance - they were super slow to get it sorted
Basically I can do whatever I want to do as long as I do some training
Massages are good
Getting a personal trainer would be good

Am feeling super positive
But my lower back is still sore, glutes are still a bit moany and left side still a bit sore.

I do though feel as if I'm nearly at the top of the long up on a rollercoaster and I'm about to get to the top and then it'll be full steam ahead with operation fit and healthy as I train for the New Forest sprint tri on the 1/9 and the Ashtead 10k on the 15/9

Supporting the Southampton marathon

Absolutely fabulous morning
Was in central bridge by 8:50am ready to whoop and cheer the first lap of the marathon, half, 10k and 5k runners as they passed me

Managed to break my cowbell and got a blister on my right middle finger 🤣

But how was I physically?
Walked over 12,000 steps
I was very tired by the time I met Suzanne at the Guildhall to cheer in Sue and wait for Jenny to cycle down from her viewing point

Groin was sore
Left glute and hamstring and I had a good 30min sit down rest in Starbucks once Suzanne had gone through the barriers at central station to get her train back to Parkway.

But overall felt great
Loved cheering and cannot wait to do the half next year

C25K week1 run2 & 2nd bike ride

I can see myself getting better, getting stronger, being stronger. It's brilliant.

Could I do the outlaw in 2025?
Well currently good god no, but I don't have to decide now. As Suzanne said it didn't sell out as soon as registration opened last year so I can decide after the Ashtead 10k in the middle of September. Then I can decide if I've got a full Ironman in me with 10months of training.

But everyday I do think maybe 🥰🤗
